The Daily WTF receives approximately 5M monthly page views with 1.5M unique
monthly visitors. While blog readers are generally hyper-literate, highly
networked, influential and affluent1,
readers of TDWTF represent a highly educated, technically savvy
demographic2:
• 72% have already earned a college degree and 17% are full-time students
• 88% working full-time in the IT industry
• 80% are between 22 and 40, 56% are between 22 and 30
• 58% earn over $50,000 annually
Three different advertising venues are available on The Daily WTF to promote your product or service: SideBar Advertisement, Article Sponsorships, and Contest Sponsorship. We can work with you to help tweak your campaign to best fit one or all of these venues and to be as effective as possible for The Daily WTF's niche audience.
SideBar Advertisements are visible on all pages throughout the website. They can
be text or graphical but may not contain any Flash or JavaScript or "loud" animation.
Click-through rates vary on campaign but are generally high, ranging between one and
two percent.
• Top-Spot Premium Side-Bar Sponsor:
Purchase Through BlogAds
• Standard Side-Bar Sponsor: Purchase Through BlogAds
An Article Sponsorship involves a small, text-only advertising appearing at the bottom of an article through all syndication channels: website access, RSS feed, email subscriptions, and third-party syndication. Article Sponsorships can be permanent or rotating:
• Permanent sponsorships are for an individual article and stay with the article indefinitely; they are ideal for promoting a product that is related to the article. Rates vary based on article.
• Rotating sponsorships run for a set number of views (min. 100K) and show on all articles without a permanent sponsorship. Rates vary on run length, ranging from $3 to $5 per thousand views.
From time-to-time, The Daily WTF will hold a reader contest for the best submission. Providing the prize(s) for such contests is a unique way to promote your product or service. Sponsorship includes:
• Announcing Article: A two or three sentence product endorsement with a direct hyperlink
• Contest Page: Logo and a several sentence description of the product/service with hyperlink
• Subsequent Articles: Reminder of contest prize(s)
• Contest Ending Article: Logo and description of product/service
• Exclusivity: no competing product/service will be used for contest sponsorship for at least 1 year
Because this type of sponsorship is so tightly integrated with the contest, rates will vary depending on the type of contest and product/services
